Hand harvested in Sinui island within the Shinan region, a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve, The Salt Company's 100% natural-unrefined solar sea salt is made using just ocean water and the sun. Evaporated on the coast of the Yellow Sea, the solar sea salt is aged at the minimum of 3 years then infused with three different types of seaweed from the Wando region, renowned for its fresh seafood. The traditional production method used to create the solar sea salt has recently been designated an Intangible Cultural Heritage by The Korean Cultural Heritage Administration. All salts are non-GMO, and free of chemicals and preservatives.
