About Laver Seaweed
LAVER
Brought by the family behind Badasoop, the seaweed expert and the sole patent holder of gamtae seaweed in South Korea, these roasted seasoned lavers are a true gem we cannot stop snacking on. Unlike the roasted seasoned laver you might find at your local Asian grocer, this is a blend of three different varieties of locally-grown and harvested laver seaweeds dried and roasted together. Family patriarch Cheolsoo Song hand selects the seaweeds every season before they are blended and roasted. This best-selling item can be snacked on as-is, or is great as a banchan (side dish) next to a bowl of rice. It can also be sliced and sprinkled on various dishes.

Dol gim attaches to and grows on rocks by the ocean. Rougher in texture, it has a sweeter flavor than other laver seaweeds. Sourced exclusively from the Shinan region.
Paerae Gim
Deep green in color, parae gim is rich in calcium and other minerals; a recent study by the Jeonnam Bioindustry Foundation found that it aids in neutralizing nicotine. Sourced exclusively from the Wando region.
